Our mantra to nonprofits is document, document, document. We want organizations to document the interesting and innovative things they do everyday and then use a growing library of material to nimbly create visual media products, from event videos to direct response web clips.
One of the benefits of documentation over time is that the organization can look back on where its been and reflect on its success. The same is true of individuals. My wife Jessica was digging through stuff at the house when she came across a 10-year old video tape. It turns out that it was a local Baltimore news report called “Israel through Baltimore Eyes.” The report featured a family that had moved to Israel from Baltimore, us. Wow, I have aged a lot in the past 10 years (though Jessica is as beautiful as ever). Have a look:
